We are full of anticipation over our third annual National Crest of the Wave Conference, taking place July 2025 in Costa Rica. This trip will be focused on intercession and prophetic ministry. Trip leaders will be Dr. Joshua Todd, Robert and Victoria Gutierrez, and Nadir and Rubi Urbina Brooks. There will be approximately 3 months of weekly mandatory training and activation sessions, as well as dedicated times of intercession prior to the trip.
The Crest of the Wave is an apostolic assignment and charge originating from a dream Dr. Joshua Todd received from the Lord and has since expanded to include multiple ministries and ministers from around the world. Crest of the Wave originates from a vivid dream the Lord gave Dr. Todd. In summary, Dr. Todd saw a large wave – symbolic of a prayer movement – cresting over the nation of Costa Rica. Within the wave was a lion that released a roar. As the wave broke, its waters rushed into other Central American nations, Mexico, and the United States. People were transformed and lands were cleansed as they were swept clean of ancient witchcraft strongholds.
Perhaps one of the most distinguishing factors of Crest of the Wave is the powerful team dynamic. From year to year, it is our desire to function as the true Body of Christ. Not one man is highlighted, elevated, or put on a pedestal. Rather, each team member is positioned to function uniquely and powerfully. In the end, no person receives the glory. God alone is glorified!
Crest of the Wave is not limited to Costa Rica. We fully anticipate expansion into other nations! As we continue to travel into the nations, each trip has become more powerful in impact and scope. Men, women, children, and families are being saved, healed, and delivered. Ministries are being impacted. Regions are shifting. Nations are changing!

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Must have a valid passport that does not expire before January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Release personal prophetic ministry in prophetic rooms.
- Minister in local churches, and some may additionally preach or teach.
Restrictions
- Must be at least 16 years old by July 1, 2025.
Preparation
- Attend mandatory weekly prophetic training and activation sessions.
- Spend dedicated time in intercession for the trip.
- Have at least 2 people committed to interceding for you at least 3 months before, during, and 1 month after the trip.
- Follow other directives from leaders (such as corporate fasting).
